Therapy Dog Retreat

Welcome to your Therapy Dog Retreat.  Over the two days, we will provide fun bonding activities for you and your dog, opportunities to develop new dog training skills as well as professional development in the form of fishbowl workshopping of case studies and developing networks for peer support.

We will review canine welfare, and stress responses so that you can continue to advocate for your dog, we will review current literature and studies to ensure that we are using best-practice standards in our practice of canine-assisted therapy as well as lots of fun activities and opportunities to practice your new skills.

The 2-Day Course Covers:

• Canine Welfare and safety
• Clinical Case Studies
• Dog enrichment activities
• Fishbowl activities to strengthen practice
• Review of literature and studies

A $450.00 non-refundable deposit is required alongside your application to secure your place in the course. Final payment a month before the start date.

Morning and afternoon tea is provided, and facilities are available for lunch – fridge/microwave.

Please dress appropriately for dog training: comfortable sun-safe clothing, sunblock and hats and sunglasses and closed-in shoes.
